They were both excellent, she didn't have a black wig..just short spikey blnde hair. They played amazingly well togerher too. It is by far one of the best non eq casts I've seen.

Saw the show last night, everyone loved it from what I could overhear after intermission and the show. The cast....is incredible. Everyone was perfectly cast for their part and their performances were all excpetional. I was particularly taken to the 19 year old Wendy Muir who plays Johanna, the voice that comes out of her is from the heavans. The roles of the beggar woman and Mrs. Lovett were also spot on. No dissappointment of a show here and the cast is so friendly.

I absolutely loved it. I feel the same way, i been turned off to RENT for wahile but this film really brought me back. It is the end of an era and I am so glad to see it well put together for everyone to see. The performers are amazing, the only complaint is that I wish the sound was louder in teh theatre I was at.

She is one of the reasons I became obsessed with Broadway...obsessed enough to read message boards about her career. I am thankful for that. I think she is who she is and that's as good as she'll get. Never meet your heros.

Used to really prefer the belted sound but after classical training you get used to hearing that sound. A beuatifully controlled soprano voice is absolutely amazing. There will be a comeback for them.

Sorry snl89, but 75% of the people who actually audition for American Idol CAN sing. It's unfortunate that she made it this far. You put her voice on anyone else and you'd see that she sucks. You seem really nice and sincere for supporting her but Broadway is a completely different league.

Anyone who thinks that Brooke could be on Broadway should be shot..the girl has no range..she can't even phonate some of her low notes. You guys harp on people all the time WHO ARE ALREADY ON BROADWAY that they suck, so why put her on?

A friend of mine was recently cast as a Melchior understudy in the national tour. He had submitted a video audition so they do look at them. Most importantly, show lots of your personality and have fun! Confidence is crucial.
