Ok I know this is like a forbidden topic but I have been pondering this for a while now. In one version of Wicked Megan Hilty stars at Glinda and Eden Espinosa stars as Elphaba. However in a more recent version Kristin Chenowith was playing the role of Glinda and Idina was playing Elphaba. Are they doing two different shows or did they switch casts? I can't seem to figure this out. I thought that maybe one was Broadway and one was Off-Broadway. :)

Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty are the current Broadway leads of Wicked.
Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth originated the roles of Elphaba and Galinda/Glinda in San Francisco and on Broadway.
Whoever told you that they were more recent leads was WRONG.
Plus Wicked is far too expensive a show to ever open off-Broadway. It played an out of town run in San Francisco (as stated above) to work out all the kinks.
For someone who doesn't even like the damn show, I know more about it than I'd like. Stupid BWW.
