Posted: 7/13/06 at 9:11pmHas anyone seen previews for this movie yet? It looks pretty interesting. I'm also interested seeing Andre act again. I really liked him in Four Brothers, so I can't wait. I haven't seen Big Boi act yet though, but I guess I'll find out when the movie is released.

I haven't seen actual previews, but I've seen lots of stills from the movie and read quite a bit about it in EW, etc. It looks really interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing it myself. =)

I'm guessing it's in reference to this Idlewild:
(And nope, that wasn't me in the meet-and-greet video...at least as far as I know. Only the performance videos.)

I believe Idlewild is referring to the city in Georgia (pretty sure) that the movie takes place in.
I was interested in seeing it when I saw the tail end of a commercial for it on TV, but I read a couple of reviews yesterday and neither sounded that great. I guess it's riddled with that Moulin Rouge-esque super manic editing (which I am not a fan of at all) so that definitely bumped it down several notches in my book. I'm sure I'll get around to seeing it at some point, but I don't think I'll be in much of a hurry after reading those reviews. I never even made it through all of Moulin Rouge. Blech!

I was really disappointed. I LOVE Outkast, sheer genius. Andre's performance was easily the best and most suprising of the film, even surpassing Terrence Howard. It was very anachronistic, which I didn't mind but I see where people might have a problem with it. Good music, I was suprised that they used very little new stuff from the "soundtrack". I found it very predictable, and while it was beautifully shot, costumed, and choreographed, I was really underwhelmed.
I don't think that entire paragraph makes sense.
