Actually Kellie is from Albermarle, NC...which is only about 30 miles from where I live. I promise you there is a big difference in intellect in those 30 miles :) She has had a tough life...but geez...sometimes I am embarrassed for her.

I totally agree.

Kellie has annoyed me and since Simon told her that people like her whole little "act" she has with the "cuteness" and such she was been milking it for all its worth to pull in those votes.

and peggyandvelma-i'm sure people dont do think that-Chris is from there too and he's a heck of a lot classier-but the way she presents herself is like she WANTS people to think she's the stereotypical tv representation of southerners. just take it w/a grain of salt i guess, but dont stress over it

no, she's not stupid. I think she's just still a little overwhelmed by everything, and possibly dumbfounded. She led a pretty simple life before going hollywood. Chances are before AI she had never even left the state.

Thanks, Francis. I AM stressed because she makes us look stupid. And I know Chris seems like a much more intelligent guy, so I'll give props to him. Go Chris!

Oh, I had a huge fallout with someone on the IMDb threads about American Idol. I had to mention to them that, in case they haven't noticed...all the winners so far have been Southern. Yay.

Not only have all of the winners been from the South, but so have all of the people who finished second. If I'm not mistaken, the entire top 6 of season 1 were Southerners.
