They sang like angels for their audition on Tuesday's 'American Idol' premiere, but a pair of Memphis twins may sound more like jailbirds by the time the show goes live from Hollywood.
I hate mixed analogies in writing. They make me so mad I could spit red.
I blame the parents - Terrell and Derrell! Come on.

I've always thought parents who named their twins rhyming names were just rotten. I've know and Tim and Jim, Shellie and Kellie, and Stacy and Tracy in my day, just to name a few.
Did anyone actually watch it last night? I'm still trying to figure out if that ambiguously gendered boy was for real or not.
How about Jarrod and John? My nephews.

That's not so bad, moninator, though I still don't like the idea of naming the kids something that starts with the same letter. As I am not a parent of twins (or any children), take my opinion for what it's worth.
what about strange names, like my cousins david copperfeild (last name) and jefferson thomas (last name)
they aren;t twins though and ther's some kids in the family with normal names

Kringas, my kids's names all start with the same letter:
C12, C10 and C7.

Heh. But they clearly aren't twins. It's all that sameness stuff with twins that I find creepy. The kids are going to have enough trouble maintaining their own identities. I just think their parents should help, not hinder, that.
I knew a family that had three kids. Christopher, Christina, and Christian. Not the same age, but still super confusing.

The worst has to be George Foreman who named all six of his sons George -- George I, George II, George III, George IV, George V and George VI. He also has two daughters named George -- Georgetta and Freeda George.

I dunno...my brother names all of his kids after Calvinist reformation theologians.
Oh come on...
My father and all for of his siblings have names starting with J, and I am the 9th in my generation with that name.
My poor dimentia-addled grandfather gets so confused when he sees me, after muttering j-j-j-j for a while, he ends up calling me darling...
