From Pittsburgh Penguins team captain Sidney Crosby's remarks last night:

Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you all so much. Thank you, and thanks so much to the Mellon Arena. You had the last word in this season, and it was worth the wait.

I want to start tonight by congratulating the Detroit Redwings and their supporters on their extraordinary season.

Fans in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the territories, all had a chance to make their voices heard. And for game after game, you came out in record numbers to cheer for the team that should win the Stanley Cup. Nearly 18 million of you cheered for us — for our team, more fans than any other team in history.

Even when the pundits and the naysayers proclaimed week after week that this season was over, you kept on cheering. And because of you we scored, together, more goals than both teams combined scored in the 1973 Stanley Cup playoffs! In fact, had we been a football team, we would have won the Super Bowl over 20 weeks ago!

Now, the question is: Where do we go from here? And given how far we’ve come and where we need to go as a league, it’s a question I don’t take lightly. This has been a long season, and I will be making no decisions tonight.

But this has always been your team. So, to the 18 million people who cheered for us, and to our many other supporters out there of all ages, I want to hear from you. I hope you’ll go to my Web site at PittsburgPenguins.com and share your thoughts with me and help in any way that you can."

Now that the Redwings have been given the cup, I swear to God I'm rooting for the Coyotes.

Close! It is actually clips from Hillary Clinton's "concession" speech reimagined as the losers of the Stanley Cup vowing to fight on
