Who will he throw his support to?

I think he will leave it up to both of his supporters to choose for themself.
LOL!
LOL joe.
Honestly who cares. His support is worth pretty much ****. All that position shifting and running to the extreme right wingers end up back firing. Its actually quite funny.
actually the reason mccain's probably done is that he has no support among the right wingers due to mccain/feingold (which the gop faithful never forgot) and his support of the none dare call it amnesty immigration bill.
...Which is unfortunate, because he seems to be one of the only relatively moderate/not completely insane Republican candidates, though some of his decisions during the campaign have been seriously unbecoming. Figures that they'd find him not to be faithful enough. I wouldn't have voted for him, but he's probably the only Republican that I wouldn't be loath to see in the office.
those two pieces of legislation were both wildly unpopular with republicans. the latter of the two was wildly unpopular with voters across the board. it's not an issue of being faithful enough. he's been pretty faithful, but he's old and he's a touch crazy. giuliani's far more moderate in terms of positions on the issues. but the nominee's gonna be admiral painter.
Actually the reason McCain's probably done is that he is bat**** crazy and has continued to support the president's war, which the GOP faithful no longer support.
The nominee will be Fred Thompson. He has the support of the Old Guard of the Republican Party. They have anointed him already the next Unitary Executive.
They have decided that Hillary will run against him and lose. They are only concerned that Gore will take the nomination somehow and win.
Geez, I hope it doesn't come down to Thompson vs Hillary. Those would be my least favored candidates from both parties.
Fred Thompson has cancer, no matter how dumb Republican voters are, I can't see them electing a president with a terminal illness...
indolent lymphoma is not exactly going to kill him tomorrow, or the next day or even in his second term. the median's ten years.
I have had plenty of relatives who have had that type of non-Hodgkins lymphoma... believe me it can escalate very very quickly...
plenty? what'd you grow up in alamogordo?
either way, if he looks healthy, he'll get the nod and if you think an actor can't look healthy, i have this bridge downtown that i can let go for a song.
I can't see them electing a president with a terminal illness...
Why not? They elected a president with Alzheimer's twice, and a president with terminal stupidity twice.
Sadly, I don't think stupidity has ever been shown to be terminal.
