If you won't listen to Keith Olbermann...

Posted: 10/7/08 at 4:51pmChristina, you are an ignorant 23 year-old tool. We've all met the touchy little girls your age who are insecure and "have something to prove" over every goddamned thing on the planet. Tired, baby, REAL tired.

Posted: 10/7/08 at 4:52pmOh, darn. If I start ending every sentence with "due to the failed policies of George W. Bush." will I get any credibility back? That seems to be the only thing people here REALLY want to listen to, Curious. I still HAVEN'T decided who to vote for, but I guess you didn't want to hear that, either.

Hey, I have a niece who tries to convince me that because Britney's latest CD sold more than Springsteen's she is more talented. I love my niece but I do not consider one with the best taste when it comes to music.
So, you going on and on about how funny and good American Carol is automatically says a lot about your political credibility (not to mention your insane posts)
Your posts are another thing I am judging your credibility on. Funny how some like Papa Loves Mambo who's political views are as opposite as mine still has my respect. Why? Because intelligence goes along way. Unlike you, he can make his point in away without coming off like a total idiot and moron.
Like I said. According to you, all of us at BWW are supporting a candidate who rubs elbows with a terrorist. Why are you here socializing with us? We are Americia hating latte limousine liberals, they very thing your kind hates. Why post here?
Do you really think you are changing anyone's mind? LOL

ONE post saying a movie was hilarious is "going on and on"? Wow. I wish you would point out what is insane about anything that I am asking. This is honestly exasperating. I never even posted an endorsment of ANY candidate, but because I tried to start a discussion to clear up some questions and misgivings I have about a candidate, but it's just not happening. Using words like "your kind" and "hate" says a lot more about you than me. I haven't used the word hate at ALL and am not even TRYING to change anyone's mind. I'm not going around posting mindless rants of "MCCAIN!! MCCAIN!! OMGZ OABAMA IS THE ANTI-CHRIST!! VOTE MCCAIN OR DIE!!!" If I was doing that, then yes, you could call me whatever you want. But I am socializing with your "kind" (your words, NOT mine) because a) I love Broadway and b) I THOUGHT I could ask some questions and have a mature, serious discussion. I was sadly mistaken, and that is entirely my fault.

Oh, and O'Reilly may be pompous, but at least his show TRIES to give both sides of most issues, which is more than Olbermann's show does.
So the O'Reilly show has a 100% success record of failure?

Posted: 10/7/08 at 9:53pmLet's step back for a minute here. Do you know what ties Obama had with his "domestic terrorist friend?" He served on a charity board with him, and they met at several meetings. Barack was about 8 and Palin in preschool during the domestic terrorist's activities. In the time that has past, that man had reformed himself and all these years later he and Obama worked together on a CHARITY board. That makes Obama a supporter of terrorists? I don't think so! However, Palin and O'Reilly can't let it go.

But let's just settle something: even if this WAS true, why would this be any worse than Obama having ties to a DOMESTIC TERORRIST and a RACIST PASTOR?
Sarah Palin's husband, the person closest to her and most reflecting of her own character, supported the AIP. She's said to have attended a few of their events, and she did record that video message for them. Considering her husband's direct involvement with the group, even humoring the group as a courtesy is a pretty direct affiliation. The message Sarah Palin sent was sent directly to the secessionist cause itself, whereas Obama's more vague affiliation with Ayers was not in relation to domestic terrorism as a cause.
As for the pastor question, I cannot presume to understand why Barack Obama or Sarah Palin would give heed to an unhinged pastor. I find organized religion offputting in general, and feel that a great majority of pastors have delivered sermons I would find personally upsetting, bigoted, or fear mongering. I must admit, the sheer megalomaniacal concept of an ACTUAL WITCH HUNT unnerves me much more than the wrong headed hatred spewed from Wright. I'm even less qualified to judge a church within a minority community, where there is still a fight for civil rights. As wrong as Wright was, I say ACTUAL WITCH HUNT trumps it.
I don't think the pastor situation should be given any real attention for either of them. I don't think the secessionist thing or the Ayers thing are that big of a deal, either. I just think the AIP connection is less tangential than the Ayers connection, and it reflects more on her politics (and patriotism) than the Ayers acquaintance does on Obama.
