Posted: 11/5/05 at 9:03amAnyone else get an odd sense of deja vu with that first post? "love, carla" anyone?

Because I am trying to be the kinder, gentler YWIW after a fiasco last week of deeply offending someone unintentionally . . .
I will point out that I believe this started on the main board and was moved.

Dear whomever,
Welcome. You may be 13, or you may not, of that I'm not sure.
I do know that you have been to the site long before your "I'm New" thread. Let me remind you of one Guideline in particular, one person/one screen name. If you've chosen this name, please stick with it.
I believe that you'll find many topics of interest on The Student Board that are quite pertinent to someone of your age interested in theatre. You're always free to roam from board to board, and topic to topic. Please be advised, however, that many posters on the OT Board have little interests in common with people of your age so don't be surprised if you get bitten whenever you come out to play.
Feel free to call on me, or another moderator, if you think we can assist in any way. We always carry iodine.

There was blood on the saddle,
And blood all around,
And a great big puddle of,
Blood on the ground.

Liam, did you read the second paragraph in José's post? This person isn't new.
And you really should rethink your suggestion for strangers to PM you with ANY questions. I take it you didn't watch Dateline last night. It's being repeated on MSNBC.

If you saw the show, why didn't you heed the advice?

I think we should be pragmatic about this.
Ignore it, Liam, IGNORE IT!

#44Dateline...
Posted: 11/5/05 at 9:51pmOn a serious note, did those watching Dateline notice that one of the "gentleman callers" was wearing a T-shirt from THE FROGS? I deduced that possibly he was a theater lover in addition to any other proclivity. Then I asked myself, gee, wonder what name he post under?

Yes, exactly it is a nice community and some of us would like to keep it that way.
Now if you have a problem with posters coming down on repeat posers and warning the children of the board of the dangers that lurk online then you DO have a problem. More of a problem than just the obvious ones you've displayed already. If you want be to a troll, please do it someplace else.
