is f---ing fabulous! I'm totally crossing my fingers for serious Academy Award consideration. She completely stole the movie. Right up there with Cruella DeVil and Miranda Priestly for most fabulously evil villain!

I heard she was great, and from the clips I've seen it looks like she's the Dolores Umbridge everyone loves to hate.

The part should have gone to Judi Dench.

Judi Dench, as great as she is, is a little too old for the role now. Umbridge, though older, needs to have a little bit of a younger aura about her because she is so ambitious. Jude Dench looks like she'd be ready to retire.
Absolutely brilliant. Her Umbridge was a nightmare come to life, as well as the most comprehensible and satisfying part about that movie.
I really don't know if Imelda Staunton is stalking me or Rupert Evans right now, but it seems she's in a lot of things I'm renting. And I swear I'm renting them for him and not her. o_O
From the moment they announced this, I knew it was perfect casting.
Amen, Rav.
I absolutely adored despising her...She was the best kind of villain! Superb!
And best of all she personified the character from the book. She was EXACTLY what I'd pictured...if not better!
She was fantastic. I wanted to stab her! Although, I didn't recognize her name, I always just think of her as that woman from all the Kenneth Branagh/Emma Thomposon movies. I mean, the one who isn't Emma's mother.
