Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour is a big-time player in the GOP, and a serious name in the mix for the 2012 nom. He headed the GOP Govs campaign this year, which was very successful at the polls and in fundraising. However, he's just made it a point to whitewash (sorry, couldn't resist) the integration of the Mississippi of his youth. Totally misrepresented the integration of the schools he attended, and flat out lied about the conditions for African-Americans in that era.

Posted: 2/9/11 at 12:40pmIn today's edition, former PA senator Rick Santorum, when asked to speculate about why Sarah Palin was skipping CPAC, said that she was probably too busy. Of course, he's not too busy, pointing out that he's not a mom to five kids like Palin. Of course, he is a dad to seven kids, but I guess his place is outside the home.
