Hey guys...I'm doing a presentation for school where I talk about 30 influential performers under the age of 30. The reason I posted this on the offtopic board was because I would like a majority of the people to be from the hollywood/ pop/hiphop/ rap scene. So PLEASE name who you think are the most influential performers under 30! thanks!
ps: any ideas of bway people as well are also appreciated! Thanks SOOOO much!

Influential doesn't mean good, right? So Britney Spears qualifies easily.
Beyonce Knowles
Alicia Keyes
Norah Jones
Hugh Jackman (oops he's over 30...)

Try looking there for some big names, not sure if it will help.

i don't think i want to include britney lol...i think i should change the tital to "mind-blowingly talented performers who will make a difference"
Well, true, Britney Spears helped pave the way for other pop sensations...Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera...I didn't hear of those people until after her CD was released.
Joss Stone
Amber Tamblyn

Ah, okay. Because she's influenced a lot of things. Do you want performers who are currently under 30, or ones who had a lot of influence before they reached 30?

plum-those who made a difference by the time they were 30 :)
John Mayer - One time I heard that song "No Such Thing" (or whatever the name of his first hit was) 7 or 8 times in a day on the radio and in stores.

As much as I hate to say it... Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton (who has decided to start singing and acting. uhg), & Hilary Duff. I don't care for any of them but most of my peers love them and idolize them.

Well, you're kind of implying modern people, but you might want to include prodigies like Mozart, who composed a crapload of music before he was 30.
I'm being very predictable, but if you're talking any performer in any genre who made a difference *by the time* they're 30, then the Beatles should be included, too

From the past, you gotta include James Dean.
If we're going back in time, then Shirley Temple, Annette Funicello, and Patty Duke.
Ms. McArdle certainly had a huge impact on ME before she was 30, but I daresay she didn't influence an entire generation of kids/teens. Hers was a small niche audience.
If you are going back in time, you absolutely CANNOT leave out Orson Welles, made the best film ever made at age 26.

I had the pleasure of performing with Andrea McArdle in the early '90s and she's a joy to work with. got a set of lungs on her, that one does. And, at the time, she had recently done Starlight Express and her body was fierce - in better shape than just about any woman I've ever seen...hard as a rock. She's adorable.
I love her rendition of Look for the Silver Lining.
