When our local TV commentator was praising Idina's singing of the National Anthem at the US Open, she called her a biracial singer. While I could not care less if she has purple ancestors, is there truth that she comes from a multiracial family?

That's weird. All I know is that her husband, Taye, is black. But that's it, I think.

Not sure of her background family-wise, but could she possibly have meant that she was married to a black man?

Unless she actually was talking about Idina as a singer; then I wouldn't really know what she meant.

I've seen pics of her family. They are not biracial. And why did the commentator need to say that regardless? weird!

My guess is that the commentator was confused and misinterpreted something that he/she heard about Idina being in a biracial marriage. It does seem weird that they would say anything about that, though.

haha Marquise...the Oopma-Loompas are orange. Clearly, if Idina had purple ancestors, they must be the famed One Eyed, One Horned, Flying Purple People Eaters.
