One of my friends said the exact same thing as the OP to me just the other day. He wanted to show me some examples, but I really didn't care.
I have often wondered about the models on Sean Cody or Corbin Fisher that never get to speak, if the directors are thinking the same thing as the OP.

Most people don't choose the way they speak, so I don't really see why they should be mocked for it. I also don't see why gay people mocking other gay people for "gay" traits and mannerisms is any better than when a straight person does it.

Well Phyllis you are just a better person than I am. I have a distaste for the muscle obsessed queens ( and yes I use that word) in our community. The instagram video feature has been making me laugh when they speak. I am not necessarily making fun of them for the way they speak.. but for the image they try to portray. Whatever.. it makes me laugh. I hope you had a nice 4th.

Look, everyone can keep dialing it back all they want, but this thread is about mocking gay people who talk like they are gay. And, also briefly, Jeffery Self, who I didn't realize was a muscle obsessed queen.

For the record I posted the mouth open purse falls out line because I knew what DAME was talking about but personally I would never mock anyone for the way they talk. My gay friends run the gamut from the butchiest of butch to the queeniest of queens and I love them all.
And I use those terms affectionately.
