Looks interesting, and is this the first time a teaser has come out this earlier ( a year out ) for a movie?

I've seen the original draft script PDF. Believe Nolan probably made some changes but the crucial elements of tying agriculture and space travel are clearly laid out in the teaser. This kind of reminded me of the first Abrams Star Trek teaser.

Hathaway and Chastain are billed behind McConaughey. Hopefully Nolan has some great parts for both. He never really has room for two good female roles and I say that as a Nolan defender.

I know nothing about this picture except that it's Nolan and that's enough for me, so I've put my faith in it and not sought any info out until this teaser.

...does anyone else get a distinct 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY by way of Terrence Malick/DAYS OF HEAVEN vibe? Might Nolan be the best arthouse filmmaker with a $200 million budget in history?

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.
