McDonald deserved a better production and director, especially for Act II. Nicole’s work was stunning, and earned her bobble in a production that was the toast of the season.

No clue if Levy is winning, but it will not be Chenoweth. 

Oh, this could get some serious stage talent to work at the Armory. Love this! 

Arden is being overly sensitive. Every director has a flop or three on the resume. You want to blame everyone else? 

Ferrentino was a pain at Yale, so this behavior is unsurprising.

And lastly, Chenoweth did not have enough gas in her tank to sell this character on stage. She was out of her depth. Perhaps everyone was.

 

She is entitled to her feelings, but not entitled to this behavior. It will cost her eventually, if it hasn’t already. Can’t pay bills with a trophy, so good luck to her. 

A licensed professional would help Lewis realize the calls are coming from inside the house. Must be exhausting to be that insecure.

I am looking forward to these reviews. I have two tickets that I (may) no longer need for next week.

JOH is a narcissist, a thief and a liar. All that I could (potentially) overlook if he was actually talented.

Disappointed but not surprised to read these initial reactions. Kail is not a good director, but I do enjoy Williams’ stage work, aside from Cabaret where I felt she was lost. I have tickets for next month, so I hope this gets turned around in the coming weeks.

I’m sure that NYT critic’s pick will keep this turkey open for longer than originally thought. What happens when KC starts missing shows? Her attendance gets spotty after the flash of opening night is in the rear view.
