This trailer may confuse some of the people out of the loop in the Iron Man universe (especially with one glimpse of Sam Jackson in an eye-patch as Nick Fury and ScarJo). It may also confuse those who saw the first one and wonder why Don Cheadle is there and no Terrence Howard.

Thumb down. Loved the first one. The presence of Mickey Rourke depletes my interest.
Never mind Mickey Rourke in an accent that could only be described as Iron Curtain.
It may also confuse those who saw the first one and wonder why Don Cheadle is there and no Terrence Howard.
I think the recasting got enough coverage that people interested enough know why Howard's not in the film.
The bigger question is how they recast Billy Dee Williams with Tommy Lee Jones in the Batman films.
Billy Dee Williams was in the Burton movies while Tommy Lee Jones was in the Schumacher movie, Batman Forever, which is a guilty pleasure but not a good film for anybody with taste or somebody who hoped to rehabilitate the canon of the story. In fact, it got much worse in the latter. Burton stayed on in the third movie as a producer, considered by studio not so much mainstream (I actually thought the second film was far superior to the first) enough to get the most commercial success, but Keaton left because he wanted to work with Tim and did not like how convoluted the story-plot got (They changed who killed Bruce Wayne's parents and they add Robin). Billy Dee Williams' scenes in the second movie were cut and Two-Face was a secondary character in the third movie so he had plenty of reasons to leave as well. Shame we never got to see the transition that Eckhart was able to have.
Yes, I'm aware that the films were directed by two different people. I was just referencing a long running joke about how Harvey Dent's race changed.
Why Namo no likey Mickey?
Thanks for the clarification. I just couldn't get over how they changed the story as to who killed Bruce's parents (which was not even right to begin with in the first film).
Mickey will be the living death, which is probably what they are going for as a villain, but he looked that way watching The Wrestler in HD.
I hope this movie still keeps a good balance of humor and action/intelligence/seriousness like the first. I like that Robert Downey Jr. has fun with the character but hope he keeps a limit on the gags for Tony Stark (I felt like the newest Star Trek movie was unable to keep this unchecked with Chris Pine).

Looks interesting but wanted to see more of Scarlett Johansson. Don Cheadle can act circles around Terrence Howard so I doubt anyone will miss him or wonder where he went.
I loved Mickey Rourke in THE WRESTLER and think this is a perfect role for him. I can see him making a wonderful villain, so I'm quite excited for him in it.
Overall, it looks like a strong project.

Excited, but with three villains in this one, I fear a "Spider-Man 3" type fiasco. I hope the movie proves me wrong.
I am excited for Iron Man 2. Not only did I love the first one, but Robert Downey Jr. is just THE MAN. Period.
There was 3 villains in Batman Begins (4 if you count the decoy, Carmine Falcone, The Scarecrow, and Ra's al Ghul) and it worked or at least it was not the main problem in the movie (not so much Katie Holmes but how ludicrous they made the Gotham City legal system look).
In this movie I am more concerned over how they are incorporated SHIELD since I see Nick Fury again.
Doesn't look that exciting but hopefully it will prove me wrong. I don't think Mickey Rourke is the best choice but we will see how it goes.
