It was more than a football game. And it was more than just the championship. It was history in the making. After an undefeated season (breaking a couple records along the way), it all boiled down to the final definitive game. Very anticlimactic.
BTW: Tink, it was the ALCS.

It was a football game.
It was sort of like the Raul Esparza of football games, but it was A FOOTBALL GAME!

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

So it was the screeching, overacting, I-haven't-slept-in-five-years-circles-under-the-eyes of football?

Yeah, that didn't make much sense to me.
Rath, that reminds me of a FAMILY GUY episode. It's the trailer for a movie:

Susan Sarandon

Raul Esparza SHOULD'VE won the Tony. But it was a huge upset when he didn't.
I wanted to break that scrawny old man in half.

nitsua, it wasn't a huge upset. Some people may have been hugely upset, but it wasn't a huge upset.

that is common with a lot of people. When I was working in NASCAR not a lot of people could understand why I liked it so much, and just from watching it on TV I couldn't blame them. But once I took them to a live race, their feelings completely changed. I mean they didn't start watching it every week or anything, but they learned to appreciate it in a different way.

My dad lived in Arlington, so when I was a kid, I went to a lot of baseball games. (GO RANGERS!)
After seeing the games live, watching it on TV doesn't compare. I don't feel the same excitement.
I've never been to a pro football game, but I don't really get into them on TV either.
