"I know what ice fishing is" is from TITANIC, not a synonym for beer goggles. It's spoken exasperatedly by Rose when Jack (thinking she's too refined or naïve to know) attempts rather condescendingly to explain it to her.
In other words, I know what it is, I was just giving gogs a hard time.
Oh, I don't go home with randoms. (That's what club bathrooms are for! ... kidding.) It's usually more of running into an acquaintance and being like, "Wow, why did I never realize how attractive so-and-so is?" Then I wake up the next morning and remember, "Oh, it's because he ISN'T." But it's a little hard to leave before they wake up when you're handcuffed to the headboard...
lol
based on the dexterity you have displayed in various pics, I shouldn't think there was a handcuff made you couldn't wiggle out of.
Hee. I'm good at wiggling out of things. Into them, too, on occasion!
"(Love Is Like A) Heat Wave" is like the PERFECT opener to a sixties review.
No wonder Marc Shaiman used it to open "Sister Act" as part of Delores & the Ronelles 'The Lounge Medley.'
*dances*
I love SISTER ACT!
We wanted to get down to LA to see the musical, but couldn't. We ARE seeing 9-5 though.
I do too. Sister Act 1 & 2, are perfection.
9 to 5 is another fav of mine. I hope the musical is good. Allison Janney!!!
tazzy nothing too tantalizing, just some men look so much better in dark lighting and after a few, lol. I've luckily never woken up to any next to me (not in that sense at least), but there have been plenty of times I'd go out and someone would say "isn't that the guy you hooked up with last week" or something and I'd go "ewwwwww" and run.
I don't like that they took out the Golden Oldies and replaced them with original songs. "Hail Holy Queen" as performed by Whoopi et al. is one of the best arrangements.
holy crap!!!! Chris fixed it - I can see avatars and pictures again, yay!!!!!
I agree Stagey.
Its kind of how I feel about Cry-Baby. I'll miss the films songs.
But as we all know, musical adaptations must be different if they are to succeed.
Yay Tink!
I got Firefox to work, but now I have to reset all my bookmarks and settings.

Goodnight, lovies!
Hi Guys. Well, I'm not dead or in jail..best as I can tell I am still alive...I have managed to quit smoking and master my job for which I am incredibly overqualified and underpaid for...but that I really like very much nonetheless. That said...I got a little misty eyed today when reviewing the results that for the first time in over two decades I made not one calls or knocked on one door for either candidate....I found myself feeling guilty for letting down Janet because Arizona went the other way and thrilled that Clinton won in Arizona despite that fact....
Still haven't had a drink,a date or gotten myself laid since last I posted and except for some lurking on the political threads my minuscule social life seems only to exist here.
so basically I am as crazy as ever.
How is everyone doing?
There you go, Radi!
Not good.
I'm feeling sad and i need someone to cheer me up with like, anything.
Thanks could definitely use that!
Sorry to hear that -- have to say I've got nothing. I am running on fumes myself. I'm sure taz will come through he always does..
Radi darling, hello.
Hey Tinky...how's it going love?
I used up all my humor trying to cheer sesot up on another thread.
Great.
Well, just read that thread and pretend it's for you.
Desperate times call for desperate measures!
What a charming notion, eminently practical.
