Rath speaks the truth, Taz. Sad, but true.
Hahah being in med school is a plus? I guess in the long run, sure, but for now it sounds like long nights of studying and no free time. And who is this "everyone" who's pressuring you to commit, and why do they have any say in it?
What I mean soapy is that I was pretty clear that I didn't want to "date' him, but we keep spending a lot of time together anyway.
He's very sweet though.
See, I go back and forth like this.
...to kind of go off from Rath's post... is it really worth it to be with someone that you honestly have no chemistry with? Someone you can't see a future with? I'm not saying this as reasons to break up (goodness knows I try to stay as far away from relationship advice as possible). But I do know that staying with someone for the sake of just having someone is silly. Kind of reminds me of that quote from Company; "You have to want to marry somebody. Not some body."

that's how I feel PM and Rath. But I haven't dated since David and I broke up over a year ago. The company is nice, and he's a super cuddler.
The trick is, I really want to have a freindship with him, but I'm afraid he won't accept that.
Taz - I stayed with someone for four years because I was afraid to be alone. Not a great reason and ultimately unfair to both of us. Not that that's the case with you because in the end the guy really was a loser. It's a musical comedy cliché, but Frank Loesser got it right: Suddenly, you'll know...
I appreciate all the advice guys. This has kinda had me down for a bit.
Tazzy, I've had 20 times as many kinda sorta not really dates than I've had real dates. I was kidding.
Sadly, Rath is right. Sweet really doesn't count for much if you don't feel anything, but it's twelve o clock on a Saturday morning . Don't worry about.
Also, what's Austin on and where can I get some?
Oh please, taz, I haven't dated in over three years.
Anyway, I'm off. Night.
I have returned.
I hate men.
I feel for ya, Taz. Been there, it sucks and not in a good way.
Why are all my post showing up late? Goodnight, Rath!
You singing Cole Porter, Jaily?
Men are stupid,
Men are vain,
Love's disgusting,
Love's insane
A humiliating business...
Goodnight, Rath.
I haven't dated anyone... well, except a brief rendezvous in high school with a guy that oddly enough reminds me of the one Taz is with. (Features wise, I cannot say for certain, but situation wise it is the same). I loved being with him, but I wasn't ready for what he wanted.
[Again, my damn computer is too slow.]
For Jaily:
I hate men.
I can't abide 'em even now and then.
Than ever marry one of them, I'd rest a virgin rather,
For husbands are a boring lot and only give you bother.
Of course, I'm awfully glad that Mother had to marry Father,
But I hate men.
Of all the types I've ever met within our democracy,
I hate most the athlete with his manner bold and brassy,
He may have hair upon his chest but, sister, so has Lassie.
Oh, I hate men!
I hate men.
Their worth upon this earth I dinna ken.
Avoid the trav'ling salesman though a tempting
Tom he may be,
From China he will bring you jade and perfume from Araby,
But don't forget 'tis he who'll have the fun and thee the baby,
Oh I hate men.
If thou shouldst wed a businessman, be wary, oh, be wary.
He'll tell you he's detained in town on business necessary,
His bus'ness is the bus'ness which he gives his secretary,
Oh I hate men!

I'm in my longest relationship, and I couldn't be happier. Ivan and I spent our 2nd year anniversary on Sept 10.
Nsync "I want you back" came on my iTunes! Time to party y'all!
taz, I've been single for 6 years and celibate for nearly 4 now......all as a direct result of refusal to settle...can't say that I exactly sure of what might be out there but still curious enough to hang around and see...
Anyway, if he's as nice as you say he'll want to maintain a friendship -- sooner or later.

*Dances with Matty*
Hey all. I'm back. I'm sooooo tired.
Just in case Rathie reads back tomorrow: The Monk will be on Grey's on the next episode, January 3rd.
*hugs for Taz*
*hugs for Jaily*
*hugs for everybody*
I better be among the 'everybodies'.
