Deet, hang in there my friend. It's going to be tough, but you'll pull through.
Pinky, I was never sure if you and Buzz were married or not. You should go ahead and tie the knot. I mean nothing will change between you relationship wise and you'll get lots of gifts!

I know tazzy - it's not the actual being married thing that bothers me. we are "married" now, just without the piece of paper. It's just the actual event. I'm OCD, and well in the past I have given myself anxiety attacks over planning the day, and that is why I always call it off. But I guess I have to just suck it up and do it.

tazzy's right - just think of the gifts! The rest is just a ceremony and a party, over and done with in one day.

Or just do something small and intimate and the hell with everybody else who expects a big "do." It's YOUR day, do it the way you want.
Thanks Taz, Tink. I'm a little rattled, but I know that this is now going to be the norm for a while. All I can do is hope for the best and expect the worst.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

So sorry to hear the news, D2.
Tink, things WILL go wrong on your wedding day, I can pretty much guarantee it. Maybe conceding that point ahead of time will help you relax a little bit?
For us it was the weather, and not your usual April showers. I was 20 minutes late to my own wedding because the limo driver couldn't see the road due to the downpours. I have a great picture I'll have to scan that has me running after my veil that the wind tore off the second I stepped out of the car. Pure instinct took over and I hiked up my dress up to my hips and ran after it (caught it too!) My mother was horrified!
Stuff happens, but as long as you and Buzz are there together, you can get through anything.

just dropping in for a minute between chapters.
D2 sorry about your dad hun
Tink- the courthouse works too. thats what we did
and with my apologies to Robert Frost:
the subjects studied
3 classes diverged in my tired head
and sorry i could not study more
and be a genius, long i studied
and read as much as i could
to where the syllabus said stop
then grabbed another book, just as fair
and began to read
because i had work to do there
though i wanted sleep and i
had drunk too much coffee
and still on i read
in subjects that confused
oh, i read on and on
yet the more i read the more
i found myself dozing
i awoke here at my desk
somewhere in the middle of the night
3 classes diverged in my head
i stumbled to bed
and finished in the morning.

lol I actually wrote that this morning before I started. And I ripped off The Road Not Taken if anyone is a Robert Frost fan. I am actually about half done with the days work.

Yes. Our chorus sang it at some pre-graduation ceremony. I believe it's quite commonly used for that sort of thing.

btw, for my english comp II class, i have to write an arguable paper. I have 2 weeks to come up with a topic & then 8 weeks after that to write it. However there's a list of topics we can't do a mile long, so i need help thinking of a topic.
Here's the list of no-no's: abortion, gun control, cloning, creationism vs evolution, any religious or spiritual arguements, serial killers, capital punishment, animal rights/using animals for research, obesity/nutrition/eating disorders, depression, changing the drinking age, stem cells, school violence/Columbine, arguements about the war in Iraq/whether there ever were WMD's, homeschooling vs traditional schooling, assisted suicide, arguments about media/video games/ music/television contribute to violent behavior in children, any position about smoking, legalization of gambling, affirmative action, drug legalization (including medicinal use of marijuana), ADHD causes & medications, gay marriage & gay adoption rights, how to fix the health care system, immigration, lowering the driving age, or steroids.
so suggestions would be helpful.

They took all the fun ones away from you!
Are you a sports fan? There are a lot of different arguments you could turn into a position paper (use of a salary cap in the NFL, age limit or wardrobe restrictions in the NBA, who is the greatest MLB pitcher of all time, should taxpayer money be used to build stadiums, etc.) There are plenty of stats available on the web to help you back up any arguments.

FedEx LOST MY NEW F*CKING CLARINET! They're trying to track it down to redeliver it...they'd better goddamn find it, or I am gonna find somoene and put my foot up in their ass for each one of the $2,000 that they just lost me.
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you.
Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.
