Good Mornin'! Good Mo-o-o-rnin'!
Jaily, you could be the FLASHER who lives next door. Or the bum on his barroom stool...
(Wish me luck, I'm off to school. Have a good one!)
I simply cannot keep up with you all. That being said, happy new thread (if not a little late)!
It's a new thread...
But I miss the old one

I'm on Broadway World in the back of maths class! This is a first.
Morning fellow Avatarians !!! Vanessa Redgrave is Brilliant in "The Year of Magical Thinking"..although it's such a depressing show....not a good one to see if you just lost someone you love. I will still be rooting for Julie White to win the Tony though.
BTW...I found out last night that my friend got confused..we're NOT seeing Inherit the Wind on Friday, but Frost/Nixon....I think I'd rather see this show anyway.
Good Morninig gang,
Boobs, I'm dying to see F/N. Let me know how it is.
Morning!
Boobs, that's pretty consistent with what I've heard from other friends who've seen it: Redgrave is brilliant, the play is not.
I found myself detatched from Didion when I read the book. Did Redgrave give off that same cool over-intellectual aura?
btw-I love Didion's writing in general.
We've got the book, but I haven't read it yet. Not sure now whether to read it before I see the play, or wait until I've seen it and then read it.
And with both parental units being in the state they're in, I'm waffling on whether to see/read it at all.
Actually I think you should read it Deet. She deals with her issues in a very practical way.
Tazzy..I find Redgrave to be so laid back doing the piece and well of course I think that was the whole idea because she had the mentality of "magical thinking" at the beginning, but by the end the magial thinking was gone..reality set in and all I can say is WOW.
I will definetly let you know how F/N is..another play I know nothing about...I prefer it that way..I even saw Grey Gardens without ever seeing the documentary...and in a way I'm glad...now I need to rent it and see if my feelings change towards the show.
I've never seen the GREY GARDENS doc either, Boobs, and I was wondering the same thing, ie: will my feelings about the show change after I see the movie.
Good Morning guys. Hi boobs, deet, and tazz. Could someone please explain to me how I've managed to forget an entire language. My German 3 final is tomorrow. Uh-Oh. I hope everyone's day is going well.
You must rent it Boobs. It is uncanny how Ebersole and Wilson nailed those two characters. They are absolute perfect reincarnations.
Morning, Soapy!
I just travelled over to the Main Board (since I kind of avoided it yesterday). I had a great laugh on the PQ WAS SNUBBED thread. How dare the nominating committee not recognize that show in this year of outstanding work and real competition? LOL.
Morning Soapy...maybe you should get in touch with GuyFromGermany and he can help you out.
Deet..now that is funny !!!
Tazzy..I will hopefully rent the doc. next week when I have some "free" time....I forget what that word means sometimes.
Good morning, you scandalous wenches.
Off to work...talk later. Kissy-kissy!
Soapy mein herr,
I feel for you. I've had exams where I felt like I knew nothing the day before. I'm sure you know more than you think.
Morning Everyone!!! Im so excited!!!! 1 more day till I am in NYC!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!
Jb...I'll alert the police.
Re: Grey Gardens,
I feel you should see the documentary before seeing the musical.
But I'm sure if you reverse the order, the effect isn't too tragically different.
The documentary is sad and slightly depressing; the musical is gorgeous.
Both are excellent and cause my little noggin to think and contemplate.
Sounds appropriate to me Boobs!!!! Its going to be a pretty crazy time since its my first trip out there!!! I CANT WAIT!
Hey Matty! Hows the kitty?
Morning, you loverly biznatches.
did you just call me a snatch?
