You know what's hilarious?
The term "duckbutter".
I know, it's gross but hilarious.

I do that too, Middi. Have you read The Golden Compass trilogy? AMAZING!!!
yeah. and lyra's oxford. it's a little tiny sequel (kind of) to it.
What's up, peeps?
My usual 1/2 hour trip to work took over an hour today. Thanks, MTA!

Yeah, I'll have to read it. I finished The Amber Spyglass on my way home from an audition. I was heartbroken.

Mdnight, you are EXACTLY like my friend Sasha. She orders books and finishes them the day she gets them! You crazy people
I'm going broke buying cast recording :/
Goodmorning all!
Hey Deej!
The good news was, when I finally did get to work, my new tap shoes were here! So I had to try them on, and out. I LOVE THEM!!!

Rathy, what do they look like!?
They're cute. Just a little heel, with a t-strap. But the sound - gorgeous! Got them from the Capezio outlet. I can't wait for class tomorrow night!
This board is annoying. I'm at work all day, what is going to entertain me if this board keeps crashing?
i need a new book. dgg, you should read anne bishop. she has the dark jewels trilogy (daughter of the blood, heir to the shadows, queen of the darkness) and then there's a compilation book in the series, and a new one comes out tuesday. and she also has the pillars of the world trilogy and now there's a new one that has 2 in it so far... sebastion and belladonna.

Nice! I have capezio's, bloch's and leo's.
My favorites are my bloch's! They have a nice sound, but they're all used up cause I tap so much! :/ At least they're worn in I want some crazy character tap shoes. Like some that the guys wear in the 42nd STREET Revival. They're like saddle but in different colors!
These are plain black. They're Capezios. They're my first "grown up" shoes - I mean, the heel is like on an oxford. Like on my beginner shoes. But my teachers don't want me to get real heels yet because once you are using those, you're already in releve. They don't like anyone to use those unless they're at the level to be auditioning, which I am NOT. But, my beginner shoes were from Payless! So the sound was crap. And these fit much better too, way more comfortable.
As soon as the children in the rehearsal studio here go to lunch, I'm strapping them on and practicing!
I always wanted to learn to tap. I sort'a know, but never did learn well.

I love tap...
My bloch's and Capez's are black, the Leo's are the black and white saddle ones. I did a performance with'em so I kept them !!!
A lot of the girls here use the woman's character tap shoes! They're required in most shows...they look great but I hear they're a BITCH to tap in.
Well, you should be in releve no matter what you're tapping in!
i used to do tap, jazz, and ballet. i miss ballet.
Right, Robbie, but not because your shoes are putting you there.
this might be a record for the board being up.
LOL, middy!

Hello!
Oh, I want to learn to tap so badly. I guess I should learn to actually walk first, though.
Middi, I'll have to read those. I'm a fan of Hawksong, by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. It's my favorite book! I can't count how many times I've read it.
I love leftover Chinese food. Yummy!
Don't think it didn't occur to me that with the new awesome-sounding taps, my teacher will be able to hear EVERYTHING I do.
That's trouble for sure.

HA! When I was in third grade, I had to learn to play the recorder. When the teacher came around to hear us play in groups of three, I would move my fingers but make no sound by just not blowing into the instrument. I seriously thought I was fooling her until she said "Great job guys! But McKayla, I can't seem to hear you at all. Keep trying..."
That's pretty clever for a third-grader.
