Much better. And why not be an ass? It's essentially my entire social life!
It's for my scholars program at school. Apparently I'm, you know, smart or something, so to encourage me to come to the school they put me in a program that basically takes us places for very, very cheap. Last winter break I spent a week in Florence, and this year they let us pick from a bunch of the NYU abroad campuses for Spring Break. Each one cost... oh, $300. It's pretty freaking sweet.

Well, the options were Berlin, Dublin, Shanghai, Paris, Ghana, and... I think there was one other, but I forget. I've been to Paris, I don't feel any need to go to Ireland, I can easily go to Berlin next fall (I'm studying abroad in PRAGUE, and SO EXCITED), and the fake seminar class we take as an excuse for going wouldn't fit in my schedule for Shanghai. Thus, Ghana.
Also, I've never been to Africa (we always planned to go when I was younger, but it always fell through), and it just felt like somewhere I should go. And really, how many times am I going to be able to spend a week in Africa (including airfare, hotels [with a few nights at a beach resort], and almost all meals) for $300 freaking dollars?
