That was the biggest waste of class time!
Our voice and speech teacher has jury duty so she told us to get together today and practice our scene to song. I'm singing Therapy from Tick Tick Boom with an AT. Let's just say she's a wee bit tone deaf. These harmonies will sound...interesting. She's also a bit off on the rhythm, it's a song you have to really keep up with. I still think It Takes Two was a better choice...but oh well.
How's everyone else been?
You're not supposed to do anything.
I saw GYPSY last night!

Read, watch the video blog, and discuss.
Discuss is something.
MAGNIFICENT! Patti has some new costumes since the first preview, one that I hope they ditch before opening night.

Uh oh, hahaha...
... so did you pee yourself as well when you saw the announcement about the 2-disc IN THE HEIGHTS OBCR?
hehe, I love that song, Rob. I was actually listening to TT..B last night,

It's a fun song, if you sing it with someone who can sing, has rhythm and can stick to a harmony.
So ON THE TOWN is performing at Paranov today. I think I've explained Paranov, it's where the whole Hartt School (inclduding dance, instrumentalists, vocal performance, AT, MT, etc.) get together and one of the divisions performs something?! It's required for 4 semesters. But yea, we're doing I CAN COOK TOO into the Times Square dance number.

I'm not going to be bale to see it, Robbie. I have treasurer duty for a fair association meeting that I forgot about. I'd skip it if I had a ride to Hartford, but I don't. I'm really upset.

:/ It's ok, I'll try and tape some of it for you...two kids who got accepted are coming to see it, I'll just hang out with them.
Did you see the video I posted on here?

Not yet. I'll watch later.
Are these the two kids you told me about earlier?

Chip is the played by Kit Treece, he'll be on the Hairspray tour. Hildy is played by Rebecca Kubaska. She is brilliant. She stands about 5'0" and commands any stage. And she's got a killer voice. It's a shame you can't see it. The leads are AMAZING. But as said, I'm sure Sydney (the girl filming) will film some more.

I would have loved to have come and seen it live, though. And to have caught you before you disappear for spring break would have been cool, too!

It's ok. You'll come see Carousel, then come back to see me in Jesus Christ Superstar
EDIT: I just realized you may be somewhere else next year. But if you are in Hartt, you'll be FORCED to see every show. Not that you wouldn't anyhow!
Hey peeps. How are all y'all?
I'm entering my second consecutive Tech Week....and feel like I might just die.

Well, I just watched "My Place." Geez! that girl really does have a voice!
I'll try!
I think this is my last week of waiting...Hartt sends their letters on Saturday, and Plymouth should be here any day now. Pace is April 1st. My way of looking at it is this: The two schools that rejected me let me know right away, weeks before they said they would. The three schools that I haven't heard from are right on time.
And no news is good news...right?
Is there any way you could hack into the admissions files and let me know now?

Yea...and to add to it, she's a SWEETHEART. There are a couple in that cast that...well...you know, I'd like to smack.
She's brilliant, though. And he's VERY GOOD but I don't like the timbre of his voice. He's a sweet kid too!
Well, we actually hacked into the files after every audition except your day. Cause you were part of a two day audition weekend, so they kept the Friday files. But we got to every other audition files and even that Saturday's. We know most of who's in or not. But not you :/ I'm sorry, I hope you got in! How amazing would that be!

Robbie! What kind of a friend are you, not to hack in for me? BAH!
Oh well. I guess its a good thing I love you anyway.
Are you sure you aren't just keeping it from me to spare hurt feelings? I can take it! Really, I can! I'm used to it!
My head is pounding. I swear, I can hear my heart beating in my ears, and this fever refuses to break.

I honestly don't know. I would have told you already, you know that! But we couldn't hack into Joan's office :/ Although she does love me. You'll hear soon enough.
I mean, I first got accepted into the University of Hartford, then we called the Hartt school and they said that's only for the University, to expect a letter in the mail. So I waited for a letter and got accepted two days later. But I doubt it matters if you hear from the university first or not.

Deet, I can't sleep. I couldn't sleep all night because of the fever, and I hurt too much to sleep.
Robbie, I know. I was teasing.
I got fake-accepted during that glitch with all the fake letters, and I've not heard anything since.
The mail isn't here yet...poo.

I know, I heard about the scare. It happened with some school last year. It was a huge thing on the news.
It'll be an amazing feeling once you get accepted somewhere. It's really great!

You'll get there.
I mean, let's talk about how my friend, Kara, from home, auditioned for schools and got rejected from Roosevelt and UCF and other schools and messaged me to say Hartt is her last letter, if not she'll have to go to community college.
And well, you know...ehhh.
Yeah, you guessed right.
