Shia's doing a lot better than I thought he would. We gave him his medicine and let him do his "bizness" and eat breakfast around 8. Now he's back in his crate, lying down. I'm not sure what's worse... the cast or the collar. I'm thinking the collar. He can barely fit through the crate's door. I have to get in there and give him a really good scratch.
He's a sport, though. He's not really complaining, because I think all the wailing when he first broke his arm really did a number on his vocal cords. (I'm assuming dogs have vocal cords.)

I'm tired. We went to sleep way too late and woke up way too early. We both kept on waking up after Shia's every whimper and move.

I wouldn't care so much if I hadn't had some kind of gig every week since it began for me. But I think tomorrow's the last one for a while, so at least I can relax and not worry about my voice after that. That will be refreshing!
