Taz is such a diva!
I entered last week's One Week Challenge over on SimplyScripts.com. There were two rules: 1) the theme had to be a prison cell and 2) it had to be a drama.
I consider myself a pretty smart guy when it comes to symbolism and metaphors and thinking outside the box and all that. I wrote about the final moments of the people aboard the Mary Celeste. I took what made a prison cell - confinement and put them in a lifeboat.
In the reviews, I'm getting panned because it doesn't fit the theme.
I guess that's what I get for being creative. I wasn't the only person to think metaphorically. Another guy wrote about the survivors of a nuclear war and they had to get out of the barren waste dump known as L. A.

He's probably excited to see me - I KILLED this morning. I was unexpectedly ON when I sang today! I didn't think I had the song down that well at all, but as soon as that spotlight hit - wow. It was one of those "flow" experiences.
I'm just a Broadway baby.

I'm really good! I am thrilled with how I did this morning, as I said, and now I'm petsitting, so instead of being home in my crowded apt in Upper Mongolia, I'm in a huge duplex in midtown by myself (well, with a dog and cat). So yes, I'm great.

Also, the general drape of it doesn't seem to lead back to a central point.

I invited my friend and her husband over tonight since their TV has been touch and go lately, haven't heard back yet though. I don't know if I'll watch if I'm here alone, I only saw two of the nominees and am not into awards shows anyway.

Just got back from painting the set for the Canadian Premiere of A Man of No Importance, and now I am off to the restaurant. Juggling two shows and a serving job may kill me, but at least I am making some cash and getting to do some theatre.
