You know those days when it's ugly outside and things go wrong and you feel like you're just meant to quit and you feel guilty yet you tried. But you still hate everything about yourself? And your friends try to comfort you and they give you suggestions and you love them. Then you tell yourself, it's just today, then you realize you have the rest of the week ahead of you, and you just want to curl up and sleep, or just have someone to sit and talk with you and be with and stuff...
...don't worry, I'm not contemplating suicide!
I just over analyzed the stupidest comment in my voice and speech class and then I had the worst voice lesson to date. Like, horrible...

Until that statement, you could have been describing every single day of my experience at Juilliard. 
You'll have better days, don't worry...the ups and downs of a course of study in the performing arts are extreme, and you have to learn to roll with them.
Or just get drunk a lot and have a lot of random sex with strangers who are equally miserable. 'S what I did to get through it! :-P

I think I just may need to switch voice teachers... As much as I LOVE Marishka, I just feel like we connect most of the time, but 30% of the time she is upset about something.
I was taught pretty bad technique for a year or so, I mean, don't get me wrong, it isn't HORRIBLE. Just a bad habit I picked up and it's SO HARD to get rid of...and she just said something that pissed me off. I pretty much wanted to like, sit there and cry.

I've had days like that. It sucks hardcore.
I discovered today that hockey is fun. When else can you run around with huge sticks made of metal and bash your classmates in the legs without being suspended?

I quickly got over it...I talked to some friends who had her as well and apparently she said some awful things to them as well! So whatever
