Curtains? Closing? Boo!
I love my ITW cast. I adore them!
glad it is going well, DGG.
Curtains is cute and I enjoyed it, sad to see it go, but it is better to go out on top.
Exactly, MotorTink.
On top? If it's on top, why is it closing? I thought it hadn't been doing well for a while.
it's too bad it's closing, I was hoping to see it next fall...
So that callback I had?
Booked it.
*the cows bring rath tea*
I hate tea!
My version of on top means generally good reviews still, selling decently, and no major cast replacements for people to bitch about (most people seemed pretty happy about Davies taking over as the only major character replacement). I don't think I have seen ANYONE post a "This should just close" post regarding this show.
Try to give a show some credit and you still get shot down.
Jesus. Christ.
Good night.

Wow.
Um. Goodnight?
ummm, if that was towards me, I don't know why the blow up. Just clarifying my opinion on the show since you questioned it, not a personal attack.
if it wasn't towards me, carry on.
hello dears!. just popping in again. as usual. ugh. I miss you guys but i can never seem to get over here. Pardon me while I go bang my head on the wall.
*bang, bang*
ok i'm back. i think. i think i need some tylenol actually. my oldest boy got in trouble at school. my parents (especially my mother) seem to think that I am here to take care of them. and my kids don't seem to know how to pick up their own underwear. not to mention my husband is sick & I am battling getting sick like crazy.
Hi, all!
I saw CRY-BABY today! Boy oh boy, am I glad I only paid a few bucks for it.
Dreadful!
That makes me sad that Cry Baby wasn't good. I was looking forward to it.

The set looks like it cost them $1000 total. It doesn't even fill half of the Marquis stage.
Even worse! Hah. Scott Pask usually does such beautiful work. I was looking forward to seeing him do something a little more whimsical for once.
Akiva
Ouch.
How was the general audience reaction, Foster? As in, will the word of mouth be positive?
I really didn't think CRY-BABY was going to be as bad as people have been saying.
I was sitting in Row U of the Center Orchestra, and all throughout the first act and the second act, people in front of me kept getting up and leaving. A bunch held it out until intermission, but most couldn't make it to the end.
The mezzanine was practically empty.
Eeep thats never a good sign.
OOOh...My friends all just sent me messages saying I got really nice reviews for my show. I even got a whole paragraph in one.

Ok, I can't wait to see this train wreck. I think I'll go for the $35 seats, because $54 might be too much for this show.
Go, Akiva!
