I might misunderstand the term then ... I thought torture porn referred to the recent rash of pseudo-slasher flicks that are mostly graphic torture.

Saw is indeed a brillinat movie. Love it, and all the sequels except for #3.

And DD is right, torture porn is the term that has been coined for these new ultra-gory horror films.

A quick search will provide lots of links to it's definition and examples ... apparently the term was coined for HOSTEL but is applied to all those other movies, including SAW.
