I don't know why I didn't like it. I guess I was just expecting it to be better than it was.
I did like the ending though. and I appreciate the overall story.
you were probably expecting more fantasy and gore ala Pan's Labrynth. I was.
Never seen Pan's Labarynth, but yeah. I was expecting more gore and suspense.
I'm excited to see Hellboy 2 though.
Hey guys and galls and avs,
How are all of you? Sorry I haven't been around much, but this week has been a bit crazy, with fling back and forth for the funeral and all.
Roz and I are gearing up to come to NY mid-June. We have a friend that wants to join us, but has no friends to stay with. Any suggestions on what the cheapest places to stay anywhere near the city? I can't find anything thats even approaching what I think her budget might be.

I'm crazy psyched to see Hellboy 2. I freaking LOVE part 1.
And you really need to see Pan's Labrynth. It's a brilliant film.
I've been meaning to see it.
Sorry Akiva, I have have no idea where the cheapest place to stay in NY is...sam probably knows.

Guess who got a bottle of SoCo for his birthday!
Yeah, scott knows about cheap.
Taz,
the production design on Hellboy 2 looks off the hook. I also can't wait for that one!

Search for a thread with the keyword "hostel" akiva. There are a bunch of threads about cheap hostels in NY in the OT archives.
Hellboy is pretty genius.
I remember having chills when I walked out of the theater.
Yea, I saw some of the artwork kiva. It looks totally del Toro.
HB1 was a fun ass movie. I've seen it about 10 times.
This one's particularly amusing.

I'm not even going to open that link and I bet it's the one about Butch, right?
Btw, I haven't heard from him in months.
Rob, I can't stand the taste of whisky. Blech. I prefer my drinks a bit more dainty, thank you very much
Speaking of Hostels, will Roth be doing a Hostel III, taz?
Thanks for the suggestions folks! So far the best deal I have found is the Portland Square Hotel. Anyone stay there before?
Hah...I had a bit too much Whiskey last night. I have acquired quite the taste for it over the past few years.

Alight, Taz, we'll get you an apple martini!
No kv, he's through with those movies. At this point there are no plans for a part 3.
He's doing something non-horror next.
I know, that sucks.
There is a Cabin Fever 2 in production, but Roth isn't involved.
I love appletinis!

You would!
I love me some jungle juice!
Taz, I know you like your horror flicks so you should keep an eye out for Flesh Offering, which is supposed to come out next Halloween. My best friend (the one who is gonna be a regular on next season of Degrassi, and plays Drew Barrymore's first love in the Grey Gardens movie) is in it playing some stoner snowboarder. Its like a ski-bum movie meets a cabin-in-the-woods horror flick.

Cabin Fever 2?!
Yeah, I think Roth is working on King's The Cell next, but I could be wrong.
Robbie, I'll take some jungle juice!

The first time I tried whisky, I filled the glass to the brim and attempted to down it in one gulp like they do in those Western movies. Bad idea! Burned my esophagus going down, made my stomach queasy, and I spent the next 20 minutes or so with my face in the toilet.
*edited for typos*
Whiskey is meant to be sipped and enjoyed. Not pounded back. at least I find it to be that way.

Not when it's a SoCo Sour!
I have had way too many bad experiences with whiskey and tequila.
