Just me - but we're chatting privately
I will say that my medical situation isn't anything 'major', just REALLY annoying! It's derived from a tick bite I got way back in March that evolved into complications - specifically, a flesh eating bacteria
I've been dealing with this for a few months now, and it has become WAY more than tiresome! But, we just keep plugging away at it, and hopefully move toward and END to it all.
Oh DG, that sounds awful. Hope everything gets better!
I once watched a program on Discovery Health on this guy who was ravaged by flesh eating bacteria. It literally ate away his entire face and he had to wear a prosthesis. He's dead now.
How nice, Stagey.

Thanks for the encouraging words, SM2 - you never fail to inspire.
WW - it HAS been a pain in the patootie, but there's MUCH worse that I could be dealing with! It will find its way, I'm sure. Meanwhile, I just have to do what's necessary to make that happen.
As I said earlier, my main issue has been all the stuff I've had to pass up! I don't like watching life pass by - it's WAY too short for that
That's true DG, and it is good everything is being taken care of.
I am really sorry to hear all that DG.

Oh, it's fine (can you tell that this isn't my comfort zone? ) It is what it is, and it will be what it needs to be.
This is why I've been on more recently - like tonight! My beloved is off having dinner with friends and then seeing the opening night of R & J with the Shakespeare company he worked with for awhile. And here I am.
But at least there's been someone around to play with!
ok, no more sympathy then! I just put on ella's porgy and bess. Nirvana!
Ok, confession time, I've never heard Ella Fiztgerald.
*ducks*
For what it's worth, DG, I hope it doesn't disfigure you -- or kill you, for that matter.

Ahhhhh - PORGY AND BESS! I truly think an argument can be made that it's the greatest American composition. Unbelievably exquisite.
That being said, WHY, WHY, WHY aren't producers falling all over themselves to produce a revival with Stokes and Audra?!?!?
The clock is NOT standing still!
WW, you don't have to duck. Just explore. I'm sure she is on itunes. sample her and see if you like her style.
I will say that while I adore most of her work, I do not like her bee-bop scatting. That never really did it for me.
(SM - no comments about that word please)
DG - I was thinking that just the other day. Isn't Cameron Macintosh bringing his revival of P&O over here this year?
Will do, taz. Any particular recording I should check out (along with Porgy and Bess)?
ETA: taz, it was announced the revival would be coming here this season, but I haven't heard anything past that.
