I'd rather not.
I promise I won't make you watch SM.

It sounds like BWW. Was there a catfight?
I love the serendipity of the way the thread titles end up sometimes.
I just saw "HSM2!" followed by "Superbad"
Almost better than the catfights are the fact that they are perfectly nice to each other's faces and then they turn around and make the most snide remarks ever.
And yes...I watched half of HSM2 and it was some of the worst dialogue, acting and songs I have ever heard and I had to turn it off. Maybe another time I can stomach the ending. I am off to bed now though. I have an 11 o'clock appointment tomorrow...which means getting up in...5 hours...ugh.

Theoretically, so are penises.

Hi, guys! Thought I'd stop into this lovely thread, since it is a lot more lively than the mojito one, which seems to be dying a very slow, lingering death.
How is everyone? I'm great, although exhausted after my whirlwind NY trip! (And the most awful flight home EVER on Friday night. Still recuperating, in fact.) And I have to say, straight out, that my favorite show (out of the 7 I saw) was XANADU! Yep. Xanadu.
Just had to let you guys know that up front.
hey erika! I've heard nothing but good things about xanadu. I'm looking forward to seeing it!
Have a nice trip D2!
Erika, what else did you see? Did you write reviews in a thread somewhere? I've seen Xanadu twice and loved it, too.

Thanks for the lemonade, harris!
tazber: It's light, fluffy, silly, GOOFY even, and just plain fun. You'll love it.
bdwaygirl: You know, I tend not to write "reviews," per se. I have friends and/or know people in almost everything I go to see, and it feels weird to "review" stuff, since I know how hard everyone is working up there, etc. So, no, I haven't. :-P
I will tell you I saw Legally Blonde, Spring Awakening, Seussical (the 90 minute version that TheaterWorksUSA is doing at the Lucille Lortel), Xanadu, Bukowsical (at the Fringe Festival), Summer Mix Tape (Daniel Reichard's cabaret at Joe's Pub), Spelling Bee, and Drowsy Chaperone. I liked all of them, but I have to say, Drowsy and Xanadu were my absolute favorites. John Glover is fantastic as Man In Chair, Beth Leavel definitely deserved her Tony, and Mara is kicking @$$ as Janet Van De Graaff! I loved all the performances in Spelling Bee, and liked the show itself quite a bit, but I think I liked the performances more than the actual show. Legally Blonde was surprisingly entertaining. (And Michael Rupert's awesome in the show.) I was let down by Spring Awakening, and I'm not sure why. Bukowsical is raunchy to the point of ridiculousness, and although I found myself entertained at points, the cast was rather uneven, so certain numbers just fell flat. Suessical is sweet. And it's free, so you can't beat that.
And as for the cabaret, Daniel has a gorgeous voice!
erika, welcome to the kingdom of Avataria -- where women wear the pants and boys will be girls, and anything goes!
Sounds like you had a great time. Out of the shows you saw, I've only seen Drowsy (with the originals) and Xanadu, once with Curtis as Sonny and then I went back to see Cheyenne.
I don't miss a Daniel concert if I can help it. Which one were you at, 7:30 or 9:30? Boobs and I were at the 9:30 show!

Haven't been there in a while, but I'll be back on Tuesday. It goes fine, as usual. I only work there 3 or 4 times a month, though.
i am back from my suspension. I just want to say I am sorry. I was going to change my name again but I decided to take the honest and mature way.
Did you all miss me?
No.
But welcome back anyway (and welcome to the thread erika!).

Oh My God.
What a weekend.
I watched the premiere of HSM2 Friday night, Wildcat Chat last night and apparently will be subjected to it one more time tonight for the sing-along version (which is the best one Mom...duh!).
Here's my burning question on the subject am I really suppose to buy into the fact that Zac is a straight guy when he clearly demonstrates far more passion with Corbin than Vanessa, who all the little tweenies keep insisting to me that he is dating... hmmm. Oy.

Evening, lovies.
I need drugs, preferably the headache-curing kind. Now.
You'll never guess what I watched today.
