I'm back. Wet, and furious. I get home to a message from Mommie Dearest: "Don't worry about the phone. I think the one I have is just fine, so don't worry about it. I hope you're not out getting me a new one now. Isn't this weather awful? I just called your father and told him not to expect me to come to the hospital today. It's just too wet out there. You don't have to call me back. I hope you're having fun."
Gotta love her. Anything else I'd like to do is illegal. All I can think of when reading that is;
"That was a very loud beep, I don't even know if this is working... Mark, are you there? Are you screening your calls? It's Mom! Just wanted to call and say I love and we'll miss you tomorrow. Cindy and the kids are here, send their love...Oh! Hope you got the hotplate! Just don't leave it on, dear, when you leave the house... Oh and a Mark, I'm sorry to hear that Maureen dumped you. I say 'Cie la vie'. So let her be a lesbian! There are other fishes in the sea. Love, Mom"
I'm not sure if that's 100% accurate, seeing as I was typing it from memory.
Anyways, sorry I kind of took off. My dad's home now and I thought it'd be nice to make lunch for him and me. I sort of feel bad for him because he's still recovering from his heart surgery and can't reach for things, so I have to help him out. And he's stuck wearing a catheder (sp?)...
