OK, I watched. I was amazed. It looks terrific!
Now stop being angry with me, or I seriously might cry. I'm very depressed right now.
I want to see it very badly...hmmm.

Broadway 2008 - Imperial, perhaps?
I got depressed after I saw Wicked for the first time. I then saw Billy Elliot two months later and was un-depressed, but I got down on myself again because I really really wanted to be Billy but I hadn't got half of the talent they had.
I first saw it 16th February 2006. I loved it so much I booked tickets again within 24 hours and was back on the 28th, having dragged my mother across the Irish Sea to London again.
I'm hooked.

That's how I was when I saw Pippin...I saw it the day before it closed and left for it's national tour, and I cried for an entire weekend. It was awful.
Actually, every time I see a musical, I cry. I wish I could be what those actors are, but I feel so far away! I'm glad you introduced me, though! I'm excited to see it when it arrives here.
I wish it weren't summer.
linnie, I think Billy Elliot is offically playing the Imperial in 2008.

Do you do many amateur shows?
I've found a second wind in a recent spate of auditions being offered for short films and other screen work. I can do musicals, but I don't expect to be on the Broadway stage. Screen can fill the longing gap for something big.

Actually, my cousin is a director who's first film is being released on the big screen this summer. I don't know much about it, but I do know that he sends me audition stuff all the time.
I have done local theatre, and odd acting jobs, like being a faux papparazzi at the Goodspeed Opera House for the opening of Singin' in the Rain. This summer, I plan on really stepping it up and doing a lot of auditioning.

I was never one for auditioning but now I have the know-how I'll do a lot more of it.
I plan to do a lot more writing this summer, but I have a few shows coming up in the next year too.

Ooh, do share!
What shows? What do you write?

You may have missed the writing spiel before.
I'm finishing the orchestrations right now, for a musical which I've been writing for over a year now. I'm planning to write my first straight play this summer, and I have a novel planned based on the last year (for me). I'm also hoping to get cracking later on on my second musical.
I've probably got 'Oliver!' coming this Christmas (not confirmed) and I've definitely got a place in a Musical Society for their show in March, being Directed by a wonderful man I've worked for before, and his son, and a good friend, is the musical director. Their show isn't confirmed yet, but my bet is on Mack & Mabel (and I was Mack earlier this year so that could be a fun revisit).

Wow. Good luck with all of it! Or break a leg, or whatever. Seriously, that's very cool. I guess I should be more motivated, and when it comes to performing, I am. I'm not a very good writer, though.
We've really taken over this thread! Maybe we should move it to a PM later, before someone comes in with a machete and flips out on us!

Don't worry, Rath and Deet are probably off having dinner somewhere so that won't happen.
Starting anything new for September?

Not yet. Just butt loads of work to pay for college, and voice/dance lessons. I'm mostly doing the stuff that my cousin sends me, and practicing like crazy for college auditions in the fall.
I just made my computer shut down three times in a row watching Billy Elliot/Liam Mower videos. Amazing! I've caught your bug. The show and Liam are both amazing!

There is so, so, so much around to discover (I've seen it all at this stage).
Anyways, I'm off, it's 2am. Be in bed by 9.30, or there'll be trouble!
Night!

Btw, if she shows up, MotorTink, Tinkerbell's Movie is off the line now! I bet you're not disappointed.
Check out the DIsney DVDs thread.
Night!
tazzy? tink? deet? anyone? where are you guys?
Hey Middy!
I just watched Shortbus. Have you seen it?
nope. what's it about? and is it good?
well I don't really know how to descibe it. There was a lot of talk about it. It's about sex and connection in NY circa 2003. Many have dismissed it as porn, but it is absolutely not porn. Very pornographic, but not porn.
I really liked it, but I need to reflect on it a bit.
The actors were all ametuers and a lot of it was improved, but some of the performances were stunning.
I'm here middi, but I'm afraid Taz will run away if I make an appearance, so I won't stay.
sounds interesting. i might have to netflix it.
why will he run away deet? what have i missed today?
God, that was the most exhausting orchestra rehearsal EVER.
I yelled at him, middi. I was over-stimulated from sinus medication and I scared the poor kid. There were some, uhm, avatar issues, which I hope have been fixed.
Deet, I love your new avatar.
*cowers and waits for response*
awww... is poor tazzy-wazzy scared? it's ok honey. that mean deet won't yell at you anymore.
