ok you just made me not like your dad
Thanks, Deet. The one time I try to open up about a traumatic experience in my life, and you turn it into a big joke.
You're right. I apologize.
Deet, I was kidding, you dolt! It actually made me LOL.
polly, I wouldn't have to try very hard. He was a despicable man! He never acknowledged me as his son. The time he locked me in the closet, I was running away from him. He was chasing me for whatever reason, ready to thrash me with the belt, so I hid in this little room adjacent to our home, which was the size of a closet. Anyway, he discovered I was in there and instead of pulling me out, he locked the door and left me there.
ok it's official. i hate him. how cruel!
He was a jerk.
And by the way, the post is going back in.
Hi, avs.
I've been swimming all day. Good fun. I can't feel my thighs and arms though.
SM2, I kind of hate him too now.
Soapy, I hope you were wearing sunscreen.
I don't get sunburn, but I should wear some to prevent skin cancer.
uh, YEAH!
I didn't even realize I posted.
Uh oh. You've got Soapy Syndrome, aka Poster Tourette's.
Well Deet, most black people don't think "Oh, let me put on my sunscreen." before they go swimming. Of course the inability to get burned by the sun doesn't mean an inability to get cancer, so I WILL go to Costco and get some. . . . in the morning.
I understand, Soapy, but you can still get skin cancer and nobody wants that.
But, you've given me an excuse to go to Costco. I LOVE Costco, but I spend WAYY too much money there.
I just love the snack bar at Costco.
I've never been to Costco.
Well, if you live in metroish area, there's little reason to go to one. Plus, with just you and your hubby, there's little reason to buy in bulk.
I don't live in A metroish area, I live in THE metroish area.
I stand corrected. , I've pretty much decided that as much as I love NYC, I could never live there. My dad lives in around the Scarsdale area, even THAT is too busy for me.
I felt the same way once - when I was a kid I loved coming into Manhattan from the 'burbs, but I was always glad to return home. I changed my mind when I commuted into Manhattan every day for college, and now I really couldn't see myself living anywhere else for any length of time.
LOL! I just got back from Costco.
I spent a lot of money. When I walked in they were selling pianos. Pianos?! Who is gonna buy a piano at Costco? Next they'll be in four packs.
Mmmm, Costco is always good fun.
Funny you should mention pianos. Our old one is being moved out tomorrow morning. Our new one is coming next week. Yay!
