Haven't you ever read AUNTIE MAME? It's a line from the book - in the first chapter Patrick describes his relationship with his father that way. Whenever he would say anything to him, he'd reply "Pipe down, kid, the old man is hung."
I have a headache. Stagey yelling at me like that reverberated. That's all I meant.

Polly, the book is a hoot - there is a lot of very funny stuff in it that is not in the play, movie or musical. It's a very quick, laugh out loud read.
Yes, Stagey, do be careful - and as Polly suggested get some rest this afternoon, at least.

Polly, you could try Amazon - they always have used copies for almost less than nothing. It really is a classic book.
