Wow, it's after 4 already. Just got back from shopping, pretty much done with it (maybe...). I have literally nothing else to do for the rest of the day.

Well, I finished up my shopping. After baking for three days, I put together 7 lovely trays of cookies, candy, pumpkin roll and muffins. I feel like Izzie, (Sorry, Grey's reference.) but I think I am finally done. Well, I am making stuffing and brussel sprouts for my Nana's on Monday, but that's it.

I've done nothing. I got up at 11, then read and ate candy and now I just finally showered and dressed. I'm bored out of my mind, and I have nothing to do.

Hey y'all,

Glad to see this thread hasn't been deleted while I was busy being Jewish. Hope all is well. My shaved head went over well with the girl I did it for, but all my other friends aren't big fans. Oh well...I like it.

I have to work at the restaurant tonight, its going to be a crazy gong show. Saturday nights always are....uchhh.

Wow, I had actually forgotten how creepy those elf things were. I think I blocked them out from last year when my aunt circulated an email with her kids "elfed". Which was, needless to say, a little odd. My dad did the dog, though

Eh, I'm getting through. Only three more days until Christmas is over. I have to make fudge at some point tonight, I've owned my ex a pan of homemade fudge for about four months now. Which, I don't mind, I make fantastic fudge, but that means I'm going to have to resist EATING it all before I give it to him. Which will be very difficult.

How's it going with you? Prepared for the upcoming holiday?

Pretty well. I really don't like the holidays, so I'm just trying to get through. We're getting our tree tomorrow; this is the latest we've ever left it. I'm just glad it's vacation! I'm broke as hell, which is no fun.

You can always just make the whole pan, eat half, and give him the other, telling him that it's a whole. Everybody wins!

I agree with pretty much every word of that post, with emphasis on the "no money" part. Last year i made homemade chocolate truffles for everyone and that was my gift, but I dunno if i can get off so easy this year. We shall see.

My ex is back in town. I dunno whether this is a good thing or not. I think he and I are going to go see Charlie Wilson's War tomorrow. I bought him the first season of The West Wing for Christmas (as well as the approximately three-quarters of a batch of fudge he'll be getting) so I hope he got me something halfway decent.

This is coming from someone who makes cookies as gifts and crafts as gifts all the time, because I am usually broke. It is not the price of the gift it is the meaning and effort you put into the gift that counts.

Speaking of baking gifts, I just made Glazed Sour Cream Doughnuts for the church breakfast table in the morning.

I love to bake, but the diet I'm on doesn't really allow me too, so I'm always looking for excuses to bake things and shove them down people throats.
