Exactly!

I am just glad I don't have to work at the restaurant in January because I am designing a show! I work my butt off on a theatre show without feeling like my soul has been eaten, which is nice.

Surprisingly, yes! I mean I might do a few shifts a month at the restaurant just to get some spending money, but it pays my living expenses. This is my first time working with this company and they have two shows this spring that they have yet to hire a designer for, so if we click on this project, then I might work with them again, which would be nice to have some more jobs coming up. Plus I have some really high profile assisting gigs coming up, which don't seem to be paying as much, but are GREAT experiences learning from great mentors. (One of them, if it works out, is a world class designer who has designed for the Metropolitan Opera, and has been Tony-nominated) basically I am trying to keep my chin up after a really crappy Fall.
