DD - there's an alternate version of the final scene where she talks about why she kept it - all I remember is her saying that it was so hard to be so poor and so rich at the same time, but if she sold the necklace it would be Cal helping her and she just couldn't do that.

Ugh! Monday, I saw the girl, and of course hugged the stuffing out of her, and guess who was sick yesterday? Yes, that's right, and now today I'm getting a scratchy throat and my Zicam is at home and I won't be there until at least 10:00 pm. grrrrrr.
