Happy day, lovies!
Mine's been marvelous-ish. Hope everybody else's are also going well!
Hey Linnie, if you're still around!
I guess I really should make a costume, since I'm leaving for trick-or-treat at 5.
Am I getting old, or does it seem that this year's Halloween theme for young females is Tart?
Welcome back, Radi!
DGG, last minute costumes are sometimes the best ones.
DD, you're not alone. I was thinking the exact same thing, actually. MSN had an article about girl's costumes and how they are pushing the "wench"/"slut" look.
Oh, you thought Lee Pace was in GREASE, SM2? (Hm. He does sort of resemble the fellow playing Danny... only better looking.)

I don't go for that, DD. No worries. I'm always the one with the fun, creative costume...one year, I was the Titanic. Candy was dropped down the smoke stacks, and it fell directly into the "cabin." It was so cool!
I love that! I've never heard of anyone dressing up like the Titanic before.
You know what rips my knitting, though? The people who DON'T dress up and go out trick-or-treating anyways. It's really not that hard to toss something together. Hell, I managed to scramble and put a Mrs. Lovett costume together the day before yesterday!

That's awesome, DGG. I have never been one for good Halloween costumes, mostly because I don't care to dress up.

Yeah, I agree. It's especially insulting when kids my age go out without costumes...at least try to make yourself look young enough to be trick-or-treating so all the little old ladies don't yell at you!
I was the Titanic the year that it was such a huge movie. I've never actually seen the movie, though. I'm too squeamish. It won me a costume contest!
Too squeamish? DGG, you do know it's a love story, right?
And there's no blood to speak of, either.

Where they die...as in, drowning.
With icy sea water and bubbles and rushing waves and screaming people and awful wailing.
Lots of wailing.
Deet, I was gonna ask if you guys had any idea how helpful that ad was in terms of bringing in audiences.
Just curious.
Yes, well there is that. Big boat. Sinks. Of course there's wailing.

*shivers*
I'm not big on stuff like that.
For some reason, though, things like Lord of the Rings are pretty appealing. I'm not sure why, but Titanic was just never a movie I could stomach.
My only memories of Titanic go back to fifth grade year when EVERY girl in my class went through an obsessive fangirl period with Leonardo DiCapio. I was the only one who didn't take a liking to him and ulitmately deemed "uncool". Story of my life, really.

Taz, I'm still looking at the numbers on the show, but I did notice a fairly substantial bump in full price ticket sales when the ads started running. But it's hard to tell without codes attached, and as the ads didn't offer a discount ticket offer which would be coded, it's kind of hard to track.

I didn't either, PM. We might be twins. I'm still paying for not thinking he was cute.
I love Leo. I want to have his babies
You know, you may just be my long lost sister. I got plenty of criticism regarding my choice not to follow the bandwagon. One girl in particular seemed to have an issue with me not liking him as much as she did.
Now, Lee Pace, on the other hand, is cute.
Fabian Richard is cute.
Leo DiCapio is just not appealing to me. That doesn't mean I hate him, per se, or his fans, to each their own.

DGG's (incomplete) list of cute guys:
~Taz
~German kid from school
~Cross Country kid from school
~Alex O'Loughlin
~Mr.Darcy
~And many more...
I for one for instance never got Leonardo's appeal. I always thought Rose (in TITANIC) was a fool. So what if Cal wasn't exactly nice - he was gorgeous, he was rich and HE SURVIVED. Marry him, take it as long as you can stand it or till his looks gave out, divorce him and take him for everything he's got.
DGG, I'm blushing.
I don't find him attractive, though I find him very talented.
I did get depressed when I read you were in the 5th grade when the movie came out... *sigh*
epitome of cute for DD:
Jeremy Northam
Andrew Lincoln
Jeremy Northam sends me into a tailspin.
That scene in EMMA where he proposes to her! *faints*
Ahem, DGG.
deet - you should hear a friend of mine talk about Titanic. He hates the premise - why on Earth would she hold on to that gem that meant absolutely NOTHING to her. It's quite funny to hear him rant...
