Sunday In The Park = art appreciation

I just walked by Shirley Knight. That is all I have to contribute today.
Except this - DGG, locate the stye and with a very clean fingernail, simply scrape it off. This was told to me by a nurse friend years ago, and I haven't suffered since - as soon as one shows up, I nix it.

Problem is, I can't find it. It hasn't "erupted" yet, for lack of a better word. It just hurts like hell.
Yes, taz, that's exactly it!
(the painting itself reminds me of Ferris Bueller's Day Off when they all go to the art mueseum and Cameron is staring at the painting.)
((sends good vibes DGG's way)) I hope you can take care of your eye issue soon, sweetie.

You can find it - it will be a tiny, tiny bump, not red yet, probably. Look hard.
(shut up, boys, I'm warning you)
They do a parody of that scene in Family Guy with Stewie staring at the painting. The camera closes in on the painting, then stewie, then closer still on the painting, then closer still on stewie, and so on.

Rath, that just made me laugh really hard. Thank you. I'll try!
PM, I love that scene in Day Off. It's one of my favorites. Cameron is my favorite character.
Of course, taz! How come whenever we make an observation you always have a FAMILY GUY episode in store?
It took me a while to get into Family Guy (wait, the baby talks, and he's brilliant, and British? The dog is like, a guy?), but I really love it now. It's on about 80 times a day here. I usually catch the 11p showing.
I bow at the altar of Family Guy.
Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte is my favorite painting, above all others. It has fascinated me since I was a child and a copy was hanging in my school library.
Cameron is my favorite as well, DGG, outside of Ferris. My mom knows this guy who's in charge of the Beatlefest and he sounds exactly like Matthew Broderick. He sent her a tape about the Beatlefest (which he narrates) and the whole time I said to my mom, "It's Ferris Bueller talking about The Beatles!!!"
Family Guy is a show I don't watch very often, but always manages to crack me up when I do. Mostly my TV routine is watching Will & Grace and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on most weeknights. Wednesdays are reserved for Pushing Daisies.

What? No genuflecting?
The brilliance is when the brilliant genius baby acts like a BABY, and same with the dog.
Best scene ever - Brian takes Meg to the prom, he's in a tux and all sophisticated and chivalrous, Meg gets drunk, they kiss, she realizes what's happened and pukes, and Brian's reaction is:
"You gonna eat that?"

I hardly ever catch Family Guy, but it's fun when I'm awake for it.
I liked the episode where Peter breaks into the school and swaps stories for the school newspaper (his was about Luke Perry being gay, and there's a shot of Luke Perry reading throug every high school newspaper just to see if he gets mentioned). That struck me as funny.
And I also liked the one where Brian and Stewie go on an adventure a la Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.

I personally enjoy how much Stewie hates Lois, and his many attempts to off her.
Wait, I think Brian pukes b/c he relized he kissed Meg. The joke is that it's more disgusting to kiss meg than a dog.
The "you gonna eat that" is still hialrious though.
I like the one where the students lick frogs to get high. Cracked my SH*T up!
Oh yeah. Whatever. It's the "you gonna eat that" that killed me.
**hugs for all**
*makes note to watch FAMILY GUY tonight*
Aye yes, the one with the toads/frogs was hysterical!
Brian is so deadpan about it, that's what makes the "You gonna eat that?" line so funny. He's my favorite character, most definitely.
Heya Tink! ((hugs back))
