I only have recollection of the latter half of the '80s. It was a good time in my life, so I look back fondly.

You had an allowance? My parents didn't believe in allowances. Or toy guns. They were cheap vegan pacifists.

At least mine weren't vegan. But that .25 was an allowance earned for doing chores. Tell me THAT's not cheap.

I once raked leaves for this elderly neighbor. Even bagged them. And she paid me 5 cents a bag. WTF? That's backbreaking work right there. I think I ended up earning less than a buck.

Yes, we were having a discussion of logistics of how a situation like Vig's should have been handled in the first place so as not to end up where it is now. I walked away for a while too, who knows what happened.
