Um, I kind of flirted with a forty-six year old man earlier today. . Which wouldn't be awkward, if he hadn't been in my mother graduating class. My family will have fun for days with this one. In my defense he was gay, and his doesn't look his age.
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

Just got back from an evening at the theater - the one I will be working with. I have my work cut out for me, I can see that. 
We met up with an old (and I mean old - she's 82) co-worker of mine. A copywriter I worked with when I was first starting out in the advertising business and she was getting ready to retire. One of the most fun people I've ever known - you wouldn't believe how old she is if you met her - she looks easily 20 years younger than she is and she acts like a 20 year old. She's also written some of the most memorable advertising lines ever: "How does America spell cheese? K-R-A-F-T." is one of her best and most enduring.

Yeah. She's a fabulous Elaine Stritch type who has done it all. One of the best co-workers I've ever had the pleasure to work with, and I'm thrilled we've stayed in touch. She lives in Chicago now, but comes to New York about 3 times a year. When she turned 80 she threw a party that was amazing - she rented out the entire top floor of the Chicago Hyatt and the champagne flowed like water.
That's how I want to be old.

Just got in.
Wedding tomorrow morning. It's casual, so I'm looking forward to a wedding for once.
Hilary (best friend) leaves for NY tomorrow evening.
Was hoping to spend Mother's Day at the beach, but my mom isn't up for it. I'm bummed about that. They just bought a new place, and I was hoping to see it.
