a. "^" is a caret. I don't know what the technical term for the brackets that are on the same keys as the period and comma are, but the fact remains that they do in fact look like carrots.

Up to my eyeballs in thesis. I'm finishing it this weekend and then I have to drive it down to school on Monday. I'm going to be soooooooooo happy when it's done and I can finally have some free time again!
