Posted: 6/22/08 at 10:15pmWe'll see. We were really into each other two summers ago, but he didn't ask me out on a "date" until February of that year, and by then I was really fed up and said no. We finally talked about it on Friday night, and spent the whole evening together just hanging out and talking. I woke up the next morning missing him, and sort of have all weekend. I think there's a possibility of it working out.

Posted: 6/22/08 at 10:22pmThanks! I hope it does! He's also known around these parts (BWW) as Bible Boy. He's a Born Again, but I'm holding my own. Nobody is converting me or making me go to church. sorry, it just isn't happening.

Just remember, DGG:

Posted: 6/22/08 at 10:32pmSort of, WW. I've come into myself a lot more lately, and I trust myself to know my limits. I refuse to be finagled into anything I don't want to be finagled into. In fact, we've both matured a lot and were able to have a civil conversation about gay rights the other night, which is not something we'd ever have been able to do in the past. College has changed him, for the better. If he can't respect my rights as a non-Christian, then I'll drop it.

I think it is best to take it one day at a time.
Though Stagey's advice is interesting...

Hey, Jesus had to get stuck in that cave for a while before he could emerge from it!
That wasn't a very good double entendre, but I just like the word "cave."
I'm back from the Vineyard... having driven 20 hours in the past 48. And I have to be up for work in less than six hours. Isn't that FUN?!?

Back from New York. Its a weird feeling for me. It was a really difficult and draining trip so I'm glad to be back in my comfort zone, but at the same time there are so many dreams and aspirations attached to NY that its hard to part with it.

A friend of mine moved to Vancouver last month and all he does is rave about it.
Now I'm thinking of moving up there too.
If I moved to SF, I'd be going back. I need to move forward! He said it's a lot cheaper, too.
Decisions, decisions!

Nitsua, Ask Roz about Vancouver. She's living there for the summer. I've actually never been , despite living most of my life just on the other side of the Rockies from it.
And TheActr, New York was awesome. In the Heights inspired me so much as far as my writing goes and makes me want to finish one of my shows and get it on its feet so badly. Not only is the music totally composed in a thoroughly contemporary and cultural musical language, but its a score in the true, best tradition of the Broadway musical. It furthers the plot, heightens the emotions, and shows us the characters. Lin Manuel is pretty much my hero these days, hah. My biggest regret is that when I met him I totally froze up and couldn't speak at all to him, which is the first time thats ever happened to me.
Also the non-Broadway stuff was so much fun, between hanging out with some of my best friends, living in the Heights (literally) for a week, on the exact street that the musical takes place, hitting up some clubs, bars, museums, stores, Canal street, etc. Nothing quite like it.
