Crazed! The Thesis was due on the 23, so I had been working my tail off to finish it on time. Now, I've had a mini-vacation this week, but I have to drive back to school to defend on Monday. I'll be glad when it's all over.

Oh yeah. I have to go stand in a room for a meeting that's open to the entire campus and get grilled about the details of my work. And then when it's over, my advisers tell me to make any changes they so desire, and I have to comply. Apparently, this is supposed to be the easy part.

Yup, yup. Which is why I've spent all week going over the thing in my head thinking, "Oh, I could have done that better" or "That connection is a little loose," etc, etc. But I'm sure it'll be fine. And it's good prep for the dissertation I'll have to write/defend in a few years.

Thanks. I'm hoping that no one other than my advisers actually shows up, but the idea that anyone could is a little nerve wracking. I am driving down the day before and spending the night with a friend, so I should be nice and relaxed when the time comes.

Courtly love and Cliges, a medieval poem. My thesis is that the author tied together the historical and literary background of the period to write a romance that challenges its norms.
