I think the cassette deck can be connected directly to a "line in" jack on the back of your computer. I think you have to have a program that takes you through the process. There are many trial versions that allow you to do a limited number of transfers or as many as you like but only 1 minute each. There are also a lot of free programs you can download that will do what your looking for.

Some computers may not have "line in" right and "line in" left, so you may need a special cable with two rca males for the cassette deck and one mini plug for the computer.
