Really Jacques. You are simply not allowed to use the very same strategies that the right derides the left for using all the time. I just wish the right-wing blowhards of talk radio would get their panties in a bunch about this the way they STILL have them twisted over the Rather report about Bush's guard duty (still an issue that has never been resolved but Memo-gate was a good distraction from that).

I mean, if it IS a left-wing conspiracy how SAFE is Our Beloved President if any lefty watersports enthusiast like me or Gannon can get such easy access on a day pass??

Not that he isn't destined to be a crystal-addled has been within 3 months.*

I am assuming that Gluckert/Gannon will change his name once again, see the "error of his ways" (again) and write a tell-all book as a "born-again liberal." The only constant in this story is that the man is a whore.

Let's have a moment of silence (the voice, indeed!) for all those closeted Repubs who work against their own humanity during the day but love to ride the stone pony at night...or the early morning...or the midafternoon at the baths...or really anytime they can because they hope the pounding will expunge them clean of their sins, but nothing...I REPEAT NOTHING...will ever get them clean enough in their own eyes. They shall always be dirty. They shall always be reviled and they shall never know a moments peace.

Eric Boehlert (a great reporter) at Salon kept digging and turned up another interesting fact: "Jeff Gannon" was attending White House press briefings at least as early as 2/18/2003, a FULL MONTH before his "employer" Talon News even existed.

I, for one, cannot wait to find out who in the White House felt it necessary to issue press passes to a right-wing male escort with no journalism experience and no news organization to write for.

Harry Shearer's Le Show played a montage of Gannon's questions in the months leading up to his downfall. It was staggering. How this guy didn't attract attention sooner is beyond me. The "Best" question was, roughly, "Now that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that George Bush served honorably in the National Gaurd and received an honorable discharge, maybe you can fill us in on his activities when he left the guard? For example, did he tour the country speaking out against his country and the war effort? Did he testify before congress that enlisted men engaged in War Crimes? Did he hang out with Jane Fonda and throw his medals away?"

Wonkette had a useful chart that calculated the number of times the media had run stories on this subject. CNN was first with I think 11, Fox had run 2 (Both after the nude photos surfaced) but most intersting of all, CBS and ABC had run zero....
