You point to Democrat successes...
was that what happened today when the Kenney/Reid/Clinton bill was defeated?
Interesting you chose to frame it that way.
Here's how the AP framed it:
Senate Drives Stake Through Immigration
By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - President Bush's immigration plan to legalize as many as 12 million unlawful immigrants while fortifying the border collapsed in the Senate on Thursday, crushing both parties' hopes of addressing the volatile issue before the 2008 elections.
Bold emphasis mine.

Sadly, I think one of the things that is letting Bush Inc slide by is that so many, including me, have just stuck our heads in the sand. I'm not proud, and I'm snapping back out of it, but there was a time when I couldn't listen to anymore and just tuned right out.
Thus endeth my true confession of the day.

From today's NY Daily News
Is it even worth the effort to impeach?

It really is all about rooting for one of two teams for you. It doesn't even matter to you how stupid something "your team" does is, you'll still just wag your pennant and a foam rubber #1 finger.
I would just assume that you would share the president's sadness over the defeat of the bill and applaud a bipartisan effort that you coach is lamenting failing. Whatever.
You'll just switch your opinions once one of the talk radio extremists you admire echoes W's sentiments. Not like you haven't done THAT before.

That diatribe of yours is totally laughable.
Are you sure you don't write scripts for left-wing soap operas?
As usual, you twisted the point. (No doubt, from a lifelong practice of twisting most things to fit your definition of the world.)
Kennedy wrote the bill. Bush agreed with it. Whose fault is it? Both. How did your media friends report it...Bush was totally to blame for the entire thing.
Just giving you the facts, fair and balanced. We report, you decide.

Actually, Kennedy co-authored the bill with Republican Senator John Kyl from Arizona.
Why are you so afraid to admit that Bush supported the bill?

You are literate, aren't you?
Read my above post. I already stated that Bush agreed with the bill.
Wow.

Why yes, last time I checked, I had decent reading comprehension.
But guess what, I made a mistake because you seemed so intent on framing this as a Democratic bill... "was that what happened today when the Kenney/Reid/Clinton bill was defeated?" I was responding to that post more than anything else.
So, my mistake, I am glad you recognize that Bush tried like hell to get this Bill passed and failed.
And as I said below, Kyl co-authored the Bill with Kennedy.
I personally did not support the bill, so I am glad it failed.
